I was not going to a funeral today. I saw this dress as I was in line with my other purchases. Another girl was at the till buying it. It was like she knew  I was behind her waiting my turn. She just had to lift it up, and swish it around, then the teller lady had to, of course, fold it which entailed lifting it up and swishing it around again. Fine! I'll get out of this ridiculously long line up, find it, then stand in line again for you Dress. 

I do love it, however. Well worth it.

 Is my favourtie day of the year. Today is 3 years that B and I have been together, and one year until I marry him. Guys, I can't tell you how excited I am for this time next year! He's seriously the most caring,funny, kind loving person I've ever met. I'm one lucky girl!

We had a conference call with our caterer yesterday to start planning our amazing dinner for our big day and I soon found out she does everything else. She is now my wedding planner, decorator, and caterer. It's very hard planning and trusting people to plan your wedding when it's in another country and way out in the ocean (Maui). She's done several weddings at the house we're renting.  She knows what will work and what won't. Perfecto.

A GUST of wind

 I love this fabric in dresses and skirts. Flowly and light especially on a hot summers day. I do not, however, enjoy the gusts of wind, slight breeze, that creeps up underneath and gives everyone a peep show. Or walking down the street with my hands desperately trying to keep it down so I don't give anyone an impromptu peep show.

How do you all deal with fabrics like this?

I can't believe it's almost been a week since my last post! To be honest, last week, the last thing I wanted to do was come home and spend more time on the computer after the exhausting days I had at work. I literally went home, changed into comfy's and cuddled with B and went to sleep, well tried to sleep.  It was all I needed. 

This week has been wonderful so far.  We found a wonderful caterer to do our wedding in Maui next year. Phew. That was up there on my stressful-things-to-do-list-for-the wedding. We also found the perfect wedding invitations at half the price another printing company wanted to charge us. I've decided I really don't want any of my wedding planning to be stressful. It shouldn't be. This is only going to happen once in my life time, so I am going to make the most of it because after it's over I'm going to be sad that all the planning and fun is over.

Not for me

Last night, I was a hair model for my friend Jenn at Suki's. I was her "creative." She had four other models there all with a range of colours and highlights that she had done. The "big cheese" of the company and several others observed, poked and prodded every inch of our hair and didn't hold back when they saw something they didn't like. They thought my hair was "neat." 
I arrived at Suki straight after work so I didn't have time to properly have my hair done before it was judged (Jenn was able to run her hands through it a couple times and it looked great! Why can't I do that???) . I also didn't pay enough attention the night before when I braided it. I left too much at the bottom. The "observers" soon noticed that I had what is called in the hair industry a "fish hook". What the heck is that?! It's where the end of your hair is straight because that part wasn't in the braid. Who knew there was name for it. Jeepers. I'm going to be so conscious of it now.

 I learned that I could never be a model, never. They probably go through tens times worse then I did. That's a whole other story all together!

A guilty pleasure

My new guilty pleasure is going to be Bachelor Pad. I didn't  get to watch it last night so I have three whole hours to catch up on this evening (ok a little less thanks to PVR). Sounds perf. This, however, is not so perfect in B's brain. He did just get an iphone so I'm hoping that will keep him company for these three hours. Probably not, but I'm hoping.
