My short dress brings all the boys to the yard...

I love this dress, but it's just a little on the short side to wear heels with...to the office I mean. Luckily, I had some flats at work to change into.

I had the worst. sleep. ever. last night so I'm going to get comfy and watch the Bachelor.

Weekend plans

I'm in the mood to throw everything out and declutter my apartment. I kinda go crazy when this happens. Is it weird that I love organizing and cleaning?
We have the in-laws coming over this evening for dinner and brunch at the lovely Pan Pacific Hotel tomorrow.

Eye creams

I apologize for the grainy photos (and bad hair). I have no idea what's happening up there.

I asked several of my friends and family if they could recommend an eye cream that decreases the puffiness and dark circles. Boy-oh-boy did I get a lot of recommendations. I never realized eye creams were so popular with people! After thinking about it, I went with one that no one recommended (sorry). I've used Kiehl's facial cleansers in the past (and will go back as soon as my Clinique runs out) so decided to try a brand I trust. 

I decided on Midnight Recovery Eye cream and I'll do a weekly review on my take - if it's working, or if it's a waste of money.  It's a fresh canvas I'm working on, I've never used an eye cream before.

Here's to hoping I get results!

Bright tights

Today was pouring with rain. The last two days have been pouring with rain. I'm just about ready for some warmth and sunshine. This weather is getting depressing.

Saturday night was the best night of my weekend. Mixed in my outfit photos are a few from our fabulous dinner at KOBE's that night.  If you're ever visiting Vancouver or live here, but haven't been yet, I suggest you give it a try. It's definitely worth it.

I decided to layer today, 4 layers to be exact. It's a few degrees warmer today. Actually I should say few degrees less cold today. It's still pretty chilly here.

I took a fabulous walk, 5 dollar coupon in hand, to H&M on my lunch break. They have a lot of wonderful clothing there right now. I guess they just stocked up  on new items because the "cute" stuff still had my size available. I was so excited. Am excited =)

Winter came late!

Jeepers has our weather changed over the past week! The snow was coming down real hard in these photos. Although I don't think Vancouver has it as bad as the burbs (east of Vancouver), we still have the cold weather and snow! It was -11 degrees with windchill walking to work this morning! For those of you down south or the US, that's 12 degrees for you (I hope google was right).  These photos were taken very quickly that's for sure!

These countryside photos were taken on our way home from our sleepover at my brother and sister-in-laws. The scenery was unbelievable. I think I saw about 5 people either taking photos in from there car, or stopped on the side of the road. It seriously seemed like we were staring at a watercolor painting.

Wedding robbery

As the time before the arrival of my wedding dwindles, I decided to contact my wedding coordinator about contacts for people to do my hair as well as my bridesmaids. Reminder, I am getting married in Maui, so I don't know anyone there. She sent me a link to one place that charges $185 for the bride and $85 ++ for the bridemaids! $70 for the little flower girls who still have baby hair! My jaw nearly hit the floor. Conveniently, some of them have their regular prices if you're just going in there to get your hair done, no occasion. $40. Geezus, people hear the word "wedding" and they try and rob you!
Looks like I may be doing my own hair.

For all of you who hate your ugly camera bags, or like me, carried my ugly camera bag around and my purse, this is just the bagurse for you! Yes, that's my own lovely word I made up myself, obviously. 

It finally arrived yesterday! My Theit camera bag err... purse. And it's perfect. My DSLR camera along with a few of the essentials from my purse fit perfectly in it. I suggest you go on over and check them out!

Gold buttons

I bought this cardigan about a month ago and forgot about it. It was an exciting time when I was trying to clean out my closet and I found it. I love the gold buttons and 3/4 length wider sleeves. It's very cozy too!

And you'll also notice my tired puffy face. B had a terrible sleep last night which meant I had a terrible sleep. I hate being a light sleeper. It's very inconvenient especially when it's Monday!

Jeans

I wore jeans! You'll rarely ever see me in jeans unless the are jeggings and I even have a hard time wearing those. I'm not sure why. I feel very uncomfortable in them. However, these are the only jeans I can wear. They're so comfortable and I've had them for years.

Surprise!

I arrived home this evening to find a wedding RSVP mailed back blank. Someone sent it back without writing in accepts or regrets or their name. Ugh. We do have a deadline of February 1 so we can narrow it down then, but I'd just like to know who it is! It's like waiting for a surprise only it's not a surprise. It's just a blank RSVP. 

On another note, what a gorgeous morning it was here in Vancouver!

Sideways rain

Well another year has come and gone. We didn't do much for New Years. We had a couple friends over. We dined on chicken and steak bites, potato skins and cheese and crackers. It was fab. A perfect New Years in my books.

2012 is a BIG year for me. I get married in Maui! I can't wait. Less than 8 months away! Eep!
