This is the resort we stayed at. We stayed at the Mayan Palace (there are 4 resorts in Barcelo) and it was unbelievable. The food , the staff, the pools, the beach. Incredible. I highly highly recommend this resort if you're planning on traveling to the Mayan Riviera, Mexico.
Playa Del Carmen. If you want to be harassed or learn how to barter this is the place to do it. Even more amazing beaches and souvenir shopping here.
