Today was pretty cold out. I decided to go against the rules and wear something totally inappropriate to work (I work at a law office - skirts and dresses most days) only because my boss is away for the week and I had a crappy sleep last night. 

This is the first time I've worn my Hunters with thick, cozy socks. Let me tell you, I feel like I brought my hard-to-get-out-of-warm bed with me in these boots. Hunter boots may not look comfortable, but they actually are! And when you wear thick warm socks of your choice, they get even better! Sheesh, that sounded like a crappy infomercial. 
Speaking of boots, has anyone come across these?

I remember having them as a kid and we called them "duck boots." I want a pair again.

This is what I'll be buying myself for Xmas. Well after Xmas. This is my goal. Friends and family who read my blog...BEST BUY gift certificates, k? I've wanted a new camera for a very long time. I could have made an impulse purchase a very long time ago, but didn't, so I think I deserve it by now =) I'll be Mrs. Paparazzo when I get it. And hopefully take better photographs instead of in front of a door or closet.

A good weekend

This past 3-day weekend was extremely uneventful. B and I were nestled in our apartment for all of it. Only venturing out once for a quick grocery shop. It's amazing when you do absolutely nothing how quickly time goes by!  

The rainy, windy weather allowed us not to feel guilty about staying in. I love lying on my chesterfield all wrapped up in blankets staring at the terrible weather outside. It actually makes me feel very thankful for what I have. A place to live, a comfy couch, and endless amounts of blankets.

Further to my last post, I will also advise you ahead of time that I will probably be talking about how freaking cold it is in Vancouver over the next couple of months. If it feels this cold already and it's only the beginning over November, I can only imagine how cold it's going to get in December/January. If you've ever been to Vancouver in the winter you know our cold is a wet-straight to the bones kind of cold. Eesh.

This is my new favourite top. I'm really digging the animal print right now. I scored this one on ASOS. I will tell you that I had been eying it for quite some time, but wanted the price to go down. When it did, my size sold out very quickly (of course!) =(. After some sulking I decided to go back and hit refresh a couple of times and it worked!
